During the fall semester of 2014, I was a TA for sections ADA and ADB of Math 220: Calculus 1, which was taught by Professor Bob Murphy.
Section ADA meets at 8 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Altgeld Hall, room 445.
Section ADB meets at 9 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Altgeld Hall, room 441.
I make a worksheet for each discussion. All of these worksheets and quizzes can be found at the Google Drive folder at:
I have made it public. You don't even need to have a gmail account to access it. I will try to update this folder continuously. If you don't see a document you would like to see, please email me and I will upload it as soon as possible.
Note that you need to use the Tex file notestpoints.tex, which is included in the folder.
If you do use these worksheets, please edit them as there are probably typos and they could be formatted better.
For additional help, I recommend that you go to tutoring hours, which are held free at 447 Altgeld Hall Monday to Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. The College of Business also provides tutoring Sunday to Wednesday 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at BIF 1049.
To prepare for the quizzes, I suggest you complete all of the quizzes based on the relevant material that Professor Murphy has given in previous years. These can be found at the following link:
For example, to prepare for quiz 3, you should be complete all of the quiz 3's from previous years IF the material looks similar to what your quiz 3 will cover. I also suggest that you start trying to complete the previous quizzes a few days in advance, so that you can go to tutoring hours for problems that you have trouble solving on your own.
